Year 11 pupils perform at Rope Green Farm Day Nursery

As part of their BTEC Performing Arts studies, Year 11 pupils visited our neighbours at Rope Green Farm Day Nursery at the end of February. They performed plays that they had devised especially for the pre-school pupils, who are approximately 3 and 4 years old, based on fairy tales as these are stories that the children had been reading together in circle time. Year 11 researched the requirements for the Early Years Foundation Stage, especially with regard to personal and social skills, and created plays based on such ideas as:

Helping each other
Understanding when you have done something you shouldn’t
Saying sorry if you have upset someone

School Production

Rehearsals are well under way for our next school production To The Manor Burn. This play was originally written for and produced by Shavington High School in 2000 and we would love to see some of the original cast members at our revival of the play on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th July.

The 2012 cast are rehearsing every week on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon and are full of enthusiasm and energy! Please come and support them and buy a ticket for the show this summer.
